Choosing the right truck for your needs
If you’re looking for a cheap rental truck to use for a day or two, but you’re not sure what you’re looking for and whether you’d be licensed to drive it – you’ve come to the right place.
Here we’ll run through everything you need to know about our rental trucks so you can choose the right one for your needs.
The first question most people ask is if they need a truck license to hire out any of the trucks in our fleet, and the answer for three of them is no – your car license is enough to take the wheel.
The hire trucks that simply require a car licence includes out Isuzu 3 tonne pantec, Isuzu 1.3 tonne flatbed with gates or Isuzu 3 tonne flatbed with ladder racks.
Better yet – all three models are available in both automatic and manual transmissions – so if you’re not comfortable driving a manual, it’s not a worry at all.
Choosing between the three:
1. All of our Isuzu 3 tonne pantec trucks are fitted with a hydraulic tailgate loader for up to 500kg, and they are fully closed in to keep your load out of the weather. Moving house can be a very expensive time as it is; so if you’re the type of person that would rather get in and do the job yourself instead of paying a removalist, this is the truck for you.
2. The Isuzu 1.3 tonne flatbed with gates is more suited for trips to the local tip. The gates make it easy to stack garden waste or old furniture and it also has a clearance of 2.7m – which makes it ideal for getting rid of your waste at the transfer station.
3. The Isuzu 3 tonne flatbed with ladder racks is a quick solution when you need to move something from one place to another on a clear day, with a 4.7m tray and the option of small sides and ladder racks depending on your needs.
