- Think about travel times
When it comes to the Gold Coast hinterland, some of the most scenic spots can take up to 2 hours to reach from your beachside accommodation, so be sure to look up travel times so you can explore at the right time of day for your desired activity. - Make sure you have maps and a GPS
Street directories and maps are all supplied free of charge with your car hire and the hinterland drives are fairly well sign-posted. But if you’d like assurance as you travel, add a GPS to your booking for just $7 a day. - Fill up with fuel
